About

Bill Wilder, LCMHC

I work with adults who are thoughtful, capable, and quietly stuck. My job isn't to explain you to yourself — it's to help you build the capacity to move.

How I work

Nineteen-plus years in, my work centers on adults in the middle of a major transition. Divorce. Grief. Career change. Kids leaving. Midlife. The moment the life you built no longer fits.

I care about what’s happening in the room, in your body, and in your life on a Tuesday afternoon. I’ll ask direct questions. I’ll also stay with you when it’s hard.

Wilder Method came from one pattern I kept seeing: insight is necessary, and rarely enough. So the work moves from understanding to practice, courage, action, integration.

Influences

Internal Family Systems, attachment and family systems, experiential work, mindfulness, behavioral practice, emotional regulation, and values-based action. Wilder Method is how I organize them — an orientation, not a separately validated modality.
