For roughly 300,000 years , human beings survived fear, conflict, uncertainty, predators, exile, and overwhelming adversity long before modern psychology, self-help, or even organized religion existed. Modern psychology is only about 145 years old a tiny fraction of human history.
So what helped the other generations survive?
History suggests humans relied on their instinctive intelligence built for adaptation, resilience, courage, and movement under pressure.
The Id is the part of you that moves when fear shows up.
It helps you take risks, trust yourself, speak honestly, protect boundaries, persevere through difficulty, and move toward what you actually want.
Modern life didn't erase this system. It buried it under approval, distraction, comfort, and overthinking.

Id stories
Everyone has a story about when they lost touch with the instinctive, life- giving part of themselves, and what helped them find it again. Shame keeps those stories hidden. Sharing them helps people reconnect.
The ID story is the story underneath the symptoms where fear, conditioning, rejection, loss, or survival taught you to stop trusting yourself, and what happens when that instinctive part of you begins to wake back up.

A Personal Synopsis
The Id Story of Bill Wilder.
Why do human beings know what to do, and still cannot get themselves to do it?
This is my story, the short version. I'm sharing it because I believe the Id, the instinctive core of the psyche, is the most important and most overlooked part of who we are. And I lost touch with mine for a long time.
The struggle. From the outside my life looked like it was working. Licensed therapist. Years of training in psychology, theology, trauma, and Internal Family Systems. Inside, I was overthinking everything, avoiding conflict, people-pleasing, and slowly losing trust in myself.
The fall. Years of my own therapy. Relationships where I struggled to find and use my own voice, and quietly disappeared to keep the peace. By my thirties the systems I'd built my life on collapsed at once: worldview, certainty, professional identity
The turning point. One question kept pulling me forward why do human beings know what to do, and still can't get themselves to do it? That question sent me on a nearly twenty- year search through mythology, evolutionary history, archetypes, and embodied practices. Insight alone doesn't change a life. Movement toward fear does. And the part of us that knows how to move is the Id.
MY PASSION
Helping educate and empower people to awaken the instinctual drive within them so they can trust themselves, take control of their lives, and move toward a life fully lived.
MY MISSION
To help people release shame by stopping hiding, learning to trust themselves, building self- sufficiency, and running toward the fears standing between them and the life they want.
